Scholarship & Recipients

In memory of Lynda Lee Keebler, Lynda’s Butterfly Wish Foundation is pleased to present up to $5,000 in scholarships to graduating high school students who enroll in a post-secondary vocational, technical, or trade program.

This scholarship was created in memory of Lynda Lee Keebler. Simply put, Lynda was a ray of sunshine. She was the bright light in everyone’s life. She treated everyone as if they were the most important person in the world. Lynda’s spirit encompassed something we should all strive for in life: a true, genuine, unconditional love for each other. Because of Lynda’s natural way of bringing joy and shining her light to everyone she met, it is only natural for her, in some way, to continue to shine her light through this foundation. To be awarded this scholarship is to be given a small token of love from someone who was the epitome of grace, compassion, and love.

Honoring Lynda’s life with this type of scholarship makes perfect sense. Her professional career took her into high schools where her passion for speaking to students about their future in the vocational field ran deep. She valued the opportunity to share this passion as much as she valued the students themselves. Learn more about Lynda at www.LyndasButterflyWish.org.

Those that choose to apply must complete their secondary education requirements for a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification by June 30, 2024. The post-secondary school must be a vocational, technical, or trade school. Consideration will be given for students that apply to a 2 year community college if the course of study leads to a certification or credential. Associate or bachelor’s degree students are not eligible. All potential institutions must be U.S. accredited and all programs must lead to a certificate or credential.

Completed applications will be mailed to the Foundation through your Guidance Counselor. Please follow all guidelines set-up by their office concerning the filing date. We will contact you for a mandatory personal interview once all applications are reviewed.
